This filter blocks most visible light and transmits infrared light, allowing you to create infrared effects that are very different from what you normally see.
It blocks visible light up to 720 nm. Infrared light, which is not visible to the naked eye, begins in the deep red area of the visible spectrum at around 750 nm and extends beyond 1000 nm. Infrared photography can produce very interesting and creative results because objects in a scene reflect infrared light differently than normal visible light.
The 52 mm size fits the RealitySoSubtle perfectly and allows you to use Rollei Infrared 400 (120) film.
